Welcome to Eat. Drink. Wanderlust.

Let me just begin by saying how this is such a pinch me moment. Starting my own site has been on my mind for a long time but I always came up with excuses that stopped me from doing it. Did the stars align just perfectly?  Nope, but here I am anyway! I think this quote sums it up perfectly for me.

Do not wait: the time will never be ‘just right’. Start where you stand, and work whatever tools you may have at your command and better tools will be found as you go along

So, I said screw it and dove headfirst into the blogging life. It’s extremely scary, stressful and exciting all at the same time. I’m all about being vulnerable and putting it out there in 2018. With great risk brings great reward or something like that right?

Now a little about me before we get too far down the road in our relationship. I’m a Pacific Northwest girl through and through. I live in the Emerald City, aka Seattle, with my lovely husband. No kids or pets but we have a few houseplants we've been working on keeping alive. My non-gardening people out there, you know what a small victory keeping a houseplant alive is.

By day, I’m a Marketing and PR professional who could not imagine working in any other field. It gives me the chance to be forward thinking, creative and help build successful brands. Nothing is more exciting than working on creative for a campaign and seeing it come to life. And even better, crushing it in the market.

In my spare time, I love trying new restaurants and bars, finding the best-hidden gems on wine lists and traveling to the far reaches of the Earth (or sometimes just new neighborhoods within my own city). If eating out and exploring the world were Olympic sports I would be a contender for a Gold medal every time. Hmmm, I wonder if we can make that an actual thing? Of course, being from the PNW, I love getting out of the city and exploring the gorgeous outdoors. Sign me up for all of the hiking, camping, fishing and snow sports.

So what can you expect to find while you’re here? Tips on traveling with ease and grace, dining and drinking guides to cities around the world and general advice on making life a little more fun, fashionable and enjoyable. You can also find a travel itinerary service here which will hopefully ease some of your trip planning woes. I hope that you stay for a while and visit often. Let’s stay connected and share our favorite #EatDrinkWanderlust moments over on Instagram and on Facebook.
