What's Next?

Holy cow, the year is half over! I can't believe how fast the first half of the year has gone by. I guess the saying "The days are long and the years are short" is pretty darn true. It's also hard to believe that is was also five months ago since I put up my last blog post. What have I been up to? Well, I'm glad you asked!

I want first off to say that I have been blown away by the support I received when I first launched Eat. Drink. Wanderlust. I didn't think anyone would actually follow it or read my silly passion project. But you all proved me wrong, and I couldn't be more thrilled. Of course just as I am getting the blog up and running life like it always does, threw a few more things in my lap. My tiny 9 lb puppy has grown up to be a full-fledged, 44 lb chunker of a dog who is requiring lots of playtimes and is quite the attention whore (but I'm not complaining). Who am I to say no to a face like that?

My full-time hustle has kicked into high gear and has no sign of slowing down. I'm traveling to fabulous events, getting an opportunity to bring brands to life, and creating some memorable consumer experiences. It feels good to be flexing that creative part of my brain regularly because I know I could be sitting behind a desk somewhere and hating what I'm doing. Getting paid to do what you love is pretty darn awesome!

Lastly, I promised myself that I would be more present in life and put down my phone and computer more often. Which seems a little silly considering what my regular and side hustles are but this was oh so necessary. That's meant enjoying dinner out with friends, vacations, and new experiences without taking 10,000 photos (just like 500 :-p) or posting immediately to my IG story. It's been an adjustment, and sometimes I feel like I'm ignoring all of you beautiful people who have invested in this little passion project of mine. This reset was essential for me, though. It has re-energized my soul and refueled my passion for this little labor of love I call Eat. Drink. Wanderlust.

So what can you expect from me these days? I'll still be sharing fantastic content here on the blog, but instead of three to five posts a month you'll just see one or two regularly. If you need you fill on a daily basis my Instagram will be filled with all of the things I've been eating/drinking and all of those oh so wanderlust-inducing moments of my life. Maybe a puppy photo or two because we all need a little cuteness in our life on the reg.

I promise you that this little side hustle will always be fueled by delicious food, tasty beverages, the most grammable destinations, and a whole lot of passion. When those fires burn out, I'll hang the hat up on this project, but for now, I hope you continue to join me on this crazy adventure.
